Kotlipass is an independently maintained private fork of PearPass. Its source repository is private; this is a distribution choice, not a security guarantee.
AI and other tools can still inspect public upstream code and distributed binaries. Keeping source private does not prevent vulnerability discovery. Updates, careful design, independent review, and secure release signing matter more.
PearPass development has paused. Kotlipass is in development and has not received an independent security audit. Always-on replication and recovery are still being validated. Never send passwords or vault data to support.
